Cycling to Work

At Battersea 2 we encourage people to cycle to work. Local roads were not designed for the weight of traffic that uses them these days. Travelling by car is expensive and parking is very difficult.

Cycling is cheap. For the price of a monthly season ticket you can get a decent bike, save cash immediately also get fit enjoyably and rapidly.

There are plentiful cycle racks next to the office and if demand requires it we can add more. The site is secure but obviously you need to lock up your bike at all times.

We have the local cycle route maps available at Reception. For further information please see Transport for London’s website http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/cycling/11607.aspx. On this site there are tips on security, safety training and much more.

Cycling is a great way to get around. If you follow the tips on the web sites below you can quickly learn how to cycle safely and confidently on London's streets.

The Mayor has introduced the Barclays Cycle Ride programme which permits the loan of a bicycle for periods as short as one hour. If you wish to get more information visit the Transport for London Cycle page http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/cycling

Battersea 2 will be setting up a Cyclists Forum in the near future if there is sufficient interest. If you would like to take part please let the Battersea 2 reception know. This group can help direct the development of the facilities for cyclists at Battersea 2.
