Battersea Studios offers the production company a prime location as well an environment where the team can chat and connect with their neighbours, often generating further business. “We like to keep our staff happy,” Rachel says. “We enjoy being part of a community. And for clients, the office looks flash, very smart.”
Chef - Spier's
Spier’s is a caterer that has taken up residence in one of Battersea Studios’ eye-catching shipping containers, specialising in vibrant salads that keep the team happy and healthy. Duncan praises the friendly community here and the rapport he’s built with them, enabling him to adapt his menu on a daily basis to meet their wants and needs. He’s only been here three months but says, “It’s getting busier every day!”
Operations Manager - Le Bureau
For Kinga, working at Battersea Studios is about being part of a neighbourhood. People meet for lunch in the communal spaces and chat to other businesses. She’s also excited about the regeneration of the area, with the Northern line extension coming and the development around Battersea Power Station. “I think it’s going to be changing a lot and changing for better,” Kinga says.
Business Development Manager - Le Bureau
The communal spaces offer a cool and friendly atmosphere, Magda tells us. “It’s colourful here and it’s got creative people in it,” she says. As a foodie, the restaurants of the Old Town are a big bonus of the area for her. She also buzzes with enthusiasm when talking about local business opportunities. “Battersea is the place to be now in London!” she says. “You can meet lots of interesting people here and the business opportunities are endless.”
Animator - Chocolate Films
The easy-going atmosphere is one of Lauren’s favourite aspects of Battersea Studios – from the varied communal spaces to nearby Battersea Park. “Compared to lots of places, it’s very relaxed,” Lauren says. “You don’t need to go anywhere once you’re here.” Being away from the bustle of central London while still having great transport access means she can enjoy the best of both worlds.
Engineering Technician - Video Europe
For a company that hires out huge volumes of lights, decks and filming equipment, the storage and security at Battersea Studios were the major attraction for Video Europe. The location also guaranteed good access to Soho where they conduct a lot of business. “The staff are very accommodating to our needs,” says Jaroy. But it’s also special touches such as the table football, nearby pubs and local park that make Battersea Studios the perfect home for this dynamic team.
Partner - Malcolm Hollis
For the 75-strong team at Malcolm Hollis, Battersea Studios provides the building consultants with a fresh alternative to office life in the City. “It’s a much more relaxed way of doing work but more focussed and a good environment to be in,” says Mark. The communal space offers a change of scenery. And with a team committed to CrossFit, rounders and Friday drinks, the nearby amenities offer plenty to do outside of work.
